The village itself is centred on a tiny triangular green with its own cross and stocks, and there is no shortage of cafes, country pubs and small shops.
Nearby Dalby Forest offers everything from cycling and walking to adventuring and star gazing, There are many fabulous trails and sights including Ellerburn with its Saxon Church and the Bridestones in Dalby Forest. The forest is also an area of outstanding Derk Skies sites to see the stars, planets, nebulae and galaxies! And also hosts Forest live music each year.
Pinfold Cottage is also the perfect base from which to explore Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Helmsley and York , all within 35 minutes drive.
